Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a manager continues with former Bayern Munich manager, Julian Nagelsmann, being the most likely option to replace Antonio Conte.
Spurs are having a difficult season in the Premier League and are going to end another season with no silverware. The north London side sit in fourth place, striving for Champions League football, but are being chased by Newcastle and Liverpool who both have games in hand.
Their form in Europe followed a similarly disappointing path, being knocked-out in the UCL round of 16 with a lifeless display against AC Milan. This, accompanied with their most recent result against Southampton, caused Conte to hold a controversial press-conference. Where he was brutally honest about his players and the club.

Such a fiery and scathing attack on his players was enough for Daniel Levy to terminate the Italian’s contract, leaving Ryan Mason as interim manager. Spurs will be looking to replace their previous boss in the next few days, with the international break allowing time for smooth negotiations.
A possible return for Mauricio Pochettino had looked the most likely outcome, but recent events have thrown it back into contention. Bayern Munich sacked Julian Nagelsmann yesterday, after the German side only managed to beat PSG in the Champions League and are one point off Borussia Dortmund in first place.
His dismissal caused confusion across the footballing world, as the 35-year-old had appeared to be doing an acceptable job for the German giants. But with his services now available, Spurs will be looking to take full advantage and bring the German to north London.
