New Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has addressed rumours of Harry Kane leaving Spurs this summer, saying his captain “couldn’t get fazed by anything”.

The Spurs boss discussed with the media his first conversations with Harry Kane this week, as rumours continue to circulate surrounding a potential move to Bayern.

“Yeah I had a good chat with Harry and as I said before, nothing earth shattering or defining from I guess what people are thinking. Just a good chat, you know, I introduced myself and we spoke mainly about the club, where he thinks we’re at and where he thinks we can improve things.

“It’s not a specific vision for one person, it’s about the group. Me and Harry are perfectly aligned in that we want to see a successful team this year.”

Tottenham begin their pre season tour in Australia on Tuesday morning, but Postecoglou has ensured fans that the 29-year-old is fully focused on his current club ahead of next season.

“A lot of people know Harry better than me but he couldn’t get fazed by anything. He’s here and he’s totally committed to what we are doing and that’s the way I’ve seen things.

“Harry’s the same as all the other players, it’s not something I ask when they walk through the door ‘have you got a ticket or not’.

“As we go along we’re working hard as a group, some will be on for the whole journey and some won’t. That will all get decided on the way though.

“The reality of it is we’ve got a month or so until the league starts and the transfer window is still open for a while so we’ll have to see how it all transpires.”

Kane is just 47 goals away from breaking Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record, but rumours have been flying about the England and Spurs captain making a headline move to Bayern this summer.

Bayern have already seen two bids rejected for Kane, but president Uli Hoeness is confident that they will still secure Spurs’ captain by the time the transfer window closes.
