Ange Postecoglou joined Tottenham in the summer from Celtic as Antonio Conte received the sack. Just three months into the new season, Spurs had made their best ever start to a campaign under him, but he’s also recently broken another record.

What record has Postecoglou broken?

Ange Postecoglou is in the history books once again after winning the Premier League Manager of the Month award three months in-a-row. As a result, he’s joined Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte, who all managed to win the award three times on the bounce.

However, Postecoglou will hold the record as the quickest manager to do it – just three months into his Premier League career.

In October, Spurs played three and won three to keep their unbeaten start to the season. Unfortunately, for Spurs fans that record came to a halt against Chelsea on Monday evening as they were thrashed 4-1. Postecoglou will be scratching his head as James Maddison and Micky Van De Ven all came off injured.

It’s now being reported that Maddison won’t play for Tottenham again this year as he could be out for up to three months. Cristian Romero also is banned for three games for a straight red meaning Spurs are now without their ideal centre-back pairing.

Tottenham’s next match before the international break comes away at Wolves. This gets underway at 12:30pm on Saturday 11th November and will be broadcasted on TNT Sports 1.

Who won Player of the Month In October?

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah picked up the October award.

The Egyptian scored five goals for the Reds during the month as he adds to the other four Player of the Month awards he already owns.

Salah now has more Player of the Month titles than any active player in the league. He’s now level with Manchester United greats like Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie.

He now just has Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane, Steven Gerrard and Cristiano Ronaldo to beat, who have all won the award more than five times.
