Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara has called for Spurs to sack Antonio Conte and replace him with Mauricio Pochettino following Champions League elimination.

Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of the Champions League round-of-16 last night, suffering a 1-0 aggregate defeat to AC Milan.

Brahim Diaz’ first-leg goal at the San Siro was enough to seperate the sides after two legs.

It comes after two other poor results, as Spurs lost 1-0 to Sheffield United in the FA Cup, and 1-0 to Wolves in the league.

The London club are almost certainly going to finish the campaign without any silverware, as they sit 18 points adrift of Arsenal in the Premier League.

This result has not only raised questions about the future of Harry Kane, but also the future of Antonio Conte.

Jamie O’Hara’s Comments

Speaking on talkSPORT former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara highlighted his disappointment for the fans, but also claims that it’s time for Conte to go.

“I feel for the Spurs fans there tonight because it was embarrassing, it was a pathetic performance all over the park,” O’Hara said.

“I think the time has come for Conte to go, he doesn’t look like he wants to be there and the players are not getting what he wants to do.

“Put him out of his misery, put everyone out of their misery, get Poch [Mauricio Pochettino] in and move on, let him have three months till the end of the season to see what he’s got.

“Then he has pre-season and next season, we might get top four. There’s no way I can keep watching, I’m actually tired of watching Tottenham, I just want to enjoy watching my team.”

Conte is now the favourite in the next Premier League manager to be sacked odds.

O’Hara might well get his wish of Pochettino returning too, as the Argentine is the favourite to take over from Conte in the next permanent Tottenham manager odds.
