Tiger Woods has confirmed he will return to the golf course in the upcoming Hero World Challenge, following a seven-month absence since his withdrawal at The Masters in April.
Rumours have been circulating for weeks regarding Woods‘ return to competitive action, but we finally have the news confirmed from the man himself who will tee it up in the Bahamas later this month.
The Hero World Challenge is an invite only event hosted by Woods, which sees 20 of the game’s most elite golfers go head-to-head at Albany Golf Club on the Caribbean island.
He has already been spotted practicing and hitting balls at the course in recent weeks and is ramping up his return to the professional scene after undergoing surgery on his plantar fasciitis injury in his foot.
The event begins on the 30th November and finishes on December 3rd, with appearances from the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, Max Homa, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas and more.

The 47-year-old has caddied for his son Charlie at junior events recently and looks to be moving freely, which is a majorly encouraging sign for his career going forward which looked at one point like it could’ve been done and dusted.
Woods told Golf Digest in November 2021 that his full-time career as a professional player was over, but he would continue to play ‘a few events’ per year. He was hospitalised in a serious but stable condition after a single-car crash in February of that year.
According to golf betting sites, the five-time Masters champion is priced at 100/1 to win at Augusta for a sixth time and record a 16th major triumph – which would leave him two behind the all-time leader Jack Nicklaus.
