The Original Liverpool vs Wolves Match Was Postponed Due To The Death Of Queen Elizabeth II
Tonight’s Liverpool vs Wolves Premier League fixture was meant to be played back in September. However, with Queen Elizabeth II sadly dying on Thursday 8th September 2022 – the match, which was originally set to be played on 10th September, was called off as a mark of respect.
With a 10-day period of mourning that followed, the world of sport in the UK was put on hold while the country grieved for the Queen.

Liverpool and Wolves Face-off Tonight for The Fourth Time This Season
Liverpool, who are expected to welcome back Darwin Nunez to the squad after a shoulder injury, will take on Wolves for the fourth time this term.
With both sides OUT of the FA Cup the Premier League has rescheduled the Liverpool vs Wolves match for this evening.
Arsenal and Everton is the only other top-flight league match today.
Wolves will head to Anfield for the second time this season, having drawn 2-2 on Merseyside in the FA Cup back in January. The visitors have since beaten Liverpool 3-0 at home at the start of last month and will be hoping to bring that form to the match tonight.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s side have a decent home league record when facing Wolves. They have won their last 5 vs Wolves in the league when playing in front of their home fans. Including a 3-1 win in this fixture last season.
A win for Liverpool and this will see them join Fulham on 39 points. While 3pts for Wolves would see them move up to 13th in the Premier League table.
