Tottenham suffered their first defeat in a Champions League knockout game for nine years with a 1-0 loss to AC Milan in the Italian capital on Tuesday night.

Former Manchester City youngster Brahim Diaz settled the game at the San Siro, bundling the ball over the line in the 7th minute to leave the Italians holding the advantage ahead of the second leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The result makes it two defeats in four days for Conte’s side, compounding a bad week worse Spurs lost 4-1 to Leicester City at the weekend and losing Rodrigo Bentancur to an ACL injury at the same time.

Conte was speaking after the game, and dropped a big hint on his future plans.

“I don’t want to talk about the future but as a former Italian national manager, people know how much Italy means to me,” Conte said after the game. “It’s in my heart. I will never exclude the possible idea that I will be back here one day.”

With lots of speculation all season on Conte’s future, that defeat saw his odds to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked slash, with him now being priced at 6/1 to lose his job next.
