Story Of The Game
In a night that was always going to be a nerve-wracking affair in West Yorkshire two relegation rivals in Leeds and Leicester went head-to-head.
The Foxes thought they’d got off to the perfect start after just 10 minutes but Youri Tielemans’ thunderous strike was ruled out by VAR as Boubacary Soumare was found to be offside in the build-up. It was a well-taken finish from the Belgian, and the hosts certainly got away with one.

Just ten minutes later and Leeds took the lead. It was a great team move as Jack Harrison worked the ball well down the right wing and his left-footed cross was met by Luis Sinisterra who headed home.
Leeds went into the break with a 1-0 lead and Leicester knew they had to come from behind in consecutive games.
Dean Smith’s side were chasing the game in the second-half but were frustrated by Leeds shot-stopper Illan Meslier, who twice denied Kelechi Iheanacho.
However ten minutes from time substitute Jamie Vardy scored the leveller after some clever play from James Maddison. That goal was the 36-year-old’s 135th in the Premier League but only his first since October last year.

It was a tense ending to the game, Leicester thought they’d won it just a few minutes later when Vardy had a goal ruled out for offside. Javi Garcia’s men could have also won the game late on but a mix of Daniel Iverson and a Patrick Bamford sitter kept the scored level.
Leicester are now one point clear of the relegation zone in 17th with 29 points. Leeds are just one place above on 30 points.
