Leeds United have confirmed the appointment of Sam Allardyce as the club’s new manager with four games left to play. It’s reported that he could earn £3 million, if the side avoid Premier League relegation.

Javi Garcia was sacked by the club this week after just 11 games in charge, picking up just three wins in his time in Yorkshire.

So, if Allardyce does keep Leeds up, then he could have a hefty bonus coming his way. Leeds are offering a basic salary of £500,000 with a bonus of more than £2.5 million if he can maintain the club’s Premier League status.

With four games left to play, Allardyce could earn a staggering £750k per game, which would put him amongst some of the league’s highest earning managers.

Putting this huge bonus into context, according to The Sun, Thomas Frank of Brentford, and Steve Cooper of Nottingham Forest only earn £1.5 million per season. And, if Leeds stay up then Allardyce will see himself earn double that, in just less than a month.
