Roberto Firmino is reportedly in talks with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli over a potential free transfer. The Brazilian left Liverpool as a free agent after departing Anfield with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Firmino has been heavily linked to Barcelona in recent months, but a deal has yet to be agreed, opening the door to a lucrative offer from the Al-Ahli.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Saudi Pro League side are in talks with Firmino, and are hoping to plan a medical for the 31-year-old. Firmino has been offered a three year deal valid until 2026.

The Saudi side are also set to complete the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy in a deal worth up to £16million.

Mendy and Firmino could join a host of players who have already made the switch over to the Middle East. Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly are the latest stars to move to the Saudi Pro League with plenty of other names linked with a switch as well.

Other Chelsea stars such as N’Golo Kante (Al Ittihad) and Hakim Ziyech (Al Nassr) have also agreed moves with Saudi Pro League clubs
