Riyad Mahrez could be the latest Premier League star to make the popular move to Saudi Arabia this summer, as Manchester City brace themselves for a £30m bid.

Pep Guardiola is set to hold a meeting with the Algerian this weekend, as he reportedly does not want to lose Mahrez who has become a crucial player in his squad over the last few years.

Mahrez started 22 matches in the league for Manchester City during their title winning season last year, but he also played a key role coming off the bench in eight other matches.

The winger scored five goals and notched up ten assists in another impressive season, as the Premier League veteran secured a fifth league title.

However after five years in Manchester it may be time for Mahrez to move on, with the 32-year-old reportedly eyeing up a big money offer from Al-Ahli this summer.

If Mahrez is to leave the Premier League champions this season he couldn’t have signed off any better, after City secured an incredible treble last campaign.

Although Al-Ahli are yet to make an official bid for the Algerian this summer, a bid of £30m is expected to come soon with City bracing themselves for an enormous offer for one of their star players.

Mahrez currently earns around £150,000 a week at City, but any offer from Saudi Arabia is expected to at least triple his wages in a deal that would be almost unmatchable even for City.

Although he just signed a new contract with the champions that expires in 2026, Mahrez could be convinced to follow in the steps of other former Premier League stars including Edouard Mendy who also moved to Al-Ahli this summer.
