Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, despite the Serie A side valuing the Nigerian at £100m.

The Old Lady won their first league title in over thirty years, as Osimhen’s goals proved too much for the rest of the clubs in Italy.

Making 36 appearances in all competitions, the 24-year-old scored 28 goals and contributed with five assists. His partnership with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been a huge boost for the Italian side this year.

The Georgian winger has made 41 appearances in all competitions, contributing to 31 goals in the process. His relationship with Osimhen was key in Napoli’s title success.

Unfortunately for Luciano Spalletti’s team, their Champions League hopes came to an end in the quarter final, after losing to fellow Serie A side, AC Milan.

However, Osimhen’s performances in the league have been enough to attract interest from some of Europe’s biggest sides. Manchester United, Chelsea and most recently, Real Madrid, have all been linked with the Nigerian marksman.

Los Blancos are currently in a huge Champions League semi-final clash, drawing 1-1 with Manchester City in the opening leg.

Madrid will be hoping for more European success, as they failed to retain their La Liga title and Barcelona returned to the top of Spanish football.

Signing the Napoli striker may be a difficult deal to complete, as the Serie A winners have put an £100m price tag on the prolific goal scorer.

Manchester United have also been linked with Osimhen, as Erik ten Hag looks to sign a striker in the summer. The Red Devils have targeted Harry Kane and Goncalo Ramos alongside the Napoli striker.

His deal in Italy is set to expire in 2025 which could be a stumbling block in negotiations, as the Italian giants will not budge on their price tag.
