John Eustace The New Favourite To Be The Next Rangers Manager
Birmingham City, who are currently sixth in the Championship, have issued a statement saying they’ve parted company with head coach John Eustace after 15 months in charge at St Andrew’s.

John Eustace Next Rangers Manager @ 13/ 8
John Eustace was sacked by Birmingham on Monday 9th October, which could pave the way for the 43 year-old to join Rangers. The best UK football betting sites are taking no chances – making him the new favourite in the ‘next Rangers manager market’ – but just who is John Eustace?
As a player Eustace was employed by Derby County, Watford, Hereford, Stoke, Middlesbrough, Dundee United and Coventry City, where he ended his playing days in 2003.
In total Eustace, who was a midfielder by trade, made a total of 393 club appearances and scored 32 goals (125)
Following his retirement from playing, John Eustace started coaching at Kidderminster Harriers in 2016-17.
A stint at QPR in 2018 as assistant manager to former England boss Steve McClaren followed, while during this time was also named in March 2022 as the assistant manager of the Republic Of Ireland team under Stephen Kenny. Doing the two jobs at the same time.
Eustace then ended up at Birmingham City in July 2022, after replacing former Newcastle player Lee Bowyer – until leaving on Monday 9th October 2023.
Could the Rangers manager’s job be next on his CV?
Philippe Clement Next Rangers Manager @ 5/2
Philippe Clement is the second favourite in the ‘next Rangers manager’ betting market – but unless you are a die-hard footy fan (or Coventry supporter), he’s going to be a name less familiar with most.
Belgium defender Clement played for the likes of Club Brugge and Genk, while English football fans might remember him playing for Coventry between 1998-99, albeit for just 12 games.
For a defender he wasn’t bad in front of goal, with 44 strikes from his 456 apperances and also won 38 caps for Belgium (1 goal).
After hanging up his playing boots, Philippe Clement has since turned his hand to managing – going back to his former playing sides Club Brugge and Genk, while was most recently at the helm as Monaco boss between 2022-23 until getting sacked in June 2023 from the French club.
Kevin Muscat Next Rangers Manager @ 5/1
The final big name rumoured to have a shot at being the next Rangers manager is one of their former players – Kevin Muscat.
Muscat was an Australian international, who won 46 caps during 1994 and 2006, plus will be a familiar name to English clubs like Millwall, Wolves and Palace – where he also played during his career.
He ended his days on the pitch back in his homeland with Melbourne Victory and Sunshine George Cross, then quickly moved into management at the former with a 2012-2019 spell at the Victory.
Muscat has since managed Belgium First Division side Sint-Truidense, but only lasted 6 months there after some bad results and was last seen in charge at Yokohma F. Marinos – taking over from the now Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou – and winning the J1 League title with the Japanese side.
