SANDOWN 3.00
LEADENHALL (system – Kingman 2yo colts on debut, 7f+ on turf)
Juvenile Kingman colts do well when making their racecourse debut over 7f or further on turf, landing 19 of their 69 starts for a profit of ÂŁ77.45. Ralph Beckett is two from four on this system (winners at 100-30 and 3-1) and LEADENHALL could be up to making a winning debut.
SANDOWN 3.35
BAYSIDE BOY (system – Fortune Stakes, 3yos)
Simply backing all three-year-old runners in the Listed Fortune Stakes at Sandown would have found nine winners from 24 bets for a profit of ÂŁ28.49. BAYSIDE BOY gets 5lb from the older colts and geldings and is worth chancing in the hope that the first-time blinkers bring about improvement.
BEVERLEY 5.05
JACKAMUNDO (system – Fast Company, good to soft or softer going)
JACKAMUNDO is on a long losing run but rarely encounters the soft or heavy going he prefers and looks over-priced (16-1 at the time of writing) for this 1m2f handicap. He also seems best coming off a decent gallop in a big field and it’s possible that stablemate Just Hiss could set the race up for him. His high draw is often an advantage at Beverley when the mud is flying and Fast Company progeny are 112 from 816 when racing on soft or heavy going on the Flat for a profit of £52.33.
SANDOWN 5.10
EMULATION (system – Mick Attwater, second run for the yard)
Trainer Mick Attwater has a solid recent record at the second time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, scoring with three of the 25 qualifiers on the all-weather since the beginning of 2017 for a profit of £8.80 and no less than six of the 18 qualifiers on turf for a profit of £29.00. The turf runners who started at 20-1 or shorter recorded form figures of 2111361151 (6-10) for a profit of £37.00 and it could be worth chancing EMULATION in this 1m2f fillies’ handicap, despite her finishing last of 12 at Lingfield on her recent stable debut.
