Progeny of the sire Belardo are four from 17 when racing at Goodwood on good or faster going for a profit of £37.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. There are two qualifiers in this 1m2f handicap – Elladonna and Wisper – with preference for Wisper who also qualifies as a bet for me on another angle. Marcus Tregoning’s six-year-old has form figures of 112 (2-3) when racing in handicap company against her own sex and looks a cracking each-way bet at double-figure odds.

KING’S CHARTER (system – Kingman colts, 7f+, turf, 2yo debut)
Progeny of the sire Kingman have a good record when making their juvenile debut over 7f or further on turf, landing 21 of their 93 starts for a profit of £68.45 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 16.08, A/E = 1.31). The Charlie Appleby-trained KING’S CHARTER looks nicely drawn in stall 1 and can get off the mark at the first time of asking.
