OXYGEN (system – Venetia Williams, handicap chasers in November)
This century, Venetia Williams has a 120 from 609 record (19.7% strike-rate) in handicap chases during the month of November and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £205.51 to a £1 level stake at SP. SO far this month, she’s six from 13 on this angle (+£27.75) and OXYGEN can add to recent gains.
NEWCASTLE 2.50
SOLRAY (system – New Bay handicappers, top three finish last time out)
Backing all progeny of the sire New Bay in handicaps would have found 125 winners from 660 bets (19%) for a profit of £32.29 to the usual £1 stake (expected winners = 98, A/E = 1.28), with those who finished in the top three last time out landing 84 of their 296 starts (28.4%) for a profit of £124.28. Those figures include a five from 16 haul at Newcastle (+£17.00) and SOLRAY, an easy winner in novice company here last time, can follow up.
WOLVERHAMPTON 7.00
TARBAAN (system – Tamyauz, Wolverhampton, 2-4yos)
Younger progeny of the sire Tamayuz have a useful record on Wolverhampton’s Tapeta surface, with those aged between two and four landing 28 of their 161 starts (17.4%) for a profit of £37.06. TARBAAN was only fifth at Newcastle last time but fared best of those to race up with the pace and his running style will be more effective at today’s venue.
