Paul Midgley has run 13 horses on the all-weather who were having their first start after a wind operation, with two winning (25-1 and 9-2) and four placing second or third (22-1, 12-1, 15-2 and 4-1). STRONG JOHNSON’s five wins have come on turf, but he made the frame at Dundalk in all four previous all-weather outings, and he can reward each-way support on his stable debut.

Nicky Henderson has won with 17 of his 72 runners in first-time cheekpieces since the beginning of 2017 (expected winners = 10.22), with those who started as favourite recording form figures of 1114121111721 (9-13) for a profit of £14.41 to a £1 level stake at SP. MIDNIGHT TRAIN was trading as the 9-2 favourite at the time of writing and could leave his recent course defeat (only sixth of ten when 11-4 for an amateur riders’ handicap) well behind now that he’s fitted with the headgear.
