WORCESTER 1.55
PASS ME BY (system – Richard Bandey, chasers)
Simply backing any Richard Bandey-trained chasers would have found 20 winners from 84 bets for a massive profit of £164.87 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who were making their chase debut were five from ten for a profit of £99.50. PASS ME BY, winner of a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon last November, can be backed to make a winning start over fences.
STRATFORD 2.40
TEMPLEHILLS (system – class barrier & seasonal pattern)
TEMPLEHILLS usually struggles when racing above Class 3 level, landing just one of his 14 such starts, He’s seven from 27 in Class 3 or lower company, including form figures in October only of 1113152 (4-7) for a profit of £12.45. He’s well into the veteran stage but ran second over a slightly longer trip here on October 3rd and should be thereabouts once more.
STRATFORD 3.15
STORM CONTROL (system – Kerry Lee chasers, first run after wind surgery)
Kerry Lee is five from 17 with her chasers having their first run following a wind operation and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £36.50. STORM CONTROL won at 7-1 on his first start after wind surgery in May 2019 and though beaten at Ascot last December after another wind op, the right-handed track was blamed and he scored at odds of 11-1 at left-handed Newbury shortly afterwards. Stratford might be a little tight for him but he’s worth chancing at around the 8-1 mark.
LINGFIELD 4.35
DHABAB (system – Gosden yard, first run after a wind operation)
Since wind surgery had to be declared in late January 2018, John & Thady Gosden are six from 12 with their runners having their first start after the procedure. Backing them all would have returned a profit of £10.56 to a £1 level stake at SP. DHABAB hasn’t been seen since his fifth place to Native Trail in last year’s Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes but won first-time out last year and is bred to appreciate the switch to the all-weather for the first time.
