SAN ISIDRO (system – Julie Camacho, colts/geldings on turf)
Since 2013, Julie Camacho has won with 114 of her 934 colts/geldings on turf (12.2% strike-rate) for a small profit at SP (+£22.51 to a £1 level stake, +2.41% on turnover). That profit becomes £137.24 if we only consider fresh horses (rested for six weeks or longer), with 40 of the 267 qualifiers scoring (15%). SAN ISIDRO falls into that category on his return from a break of 144 days and he’s likely to be prominent in a race lacking obvious pace angles.

STRANGERONTHESHORE (system – poorly drawn at Redcar last time out)
The bias towards low draws on the straight course (5f-1m) at Redcar has been stronger than ever this season, favouring horses in stalls 1, 2, 3 and 4. Backing those were drawn in stall 5 or above on their next outing, regardless of where they finished at Redcar, would have found 33 winners from 193 bets so far this year (17.1% strike-rate) for a profit of £80.28. STRANGERONTHESHORE had little chance from his double-figure draw when beating only one home in a 1m Redcar handicap last time and that race has worked out exceptionally well.
