Progeny of the sire Fast Company have a 30 from 223 record when racing over hurdles on good to soft or soft going (based on race times, not the official going) for a profit of £54.23 to a £1 level stake at SP. DOWNSMAN makes his hurdles debut for Jim Boyle and it’s encouraging to see Sean Houlihan, four from 17 for the yard, booked to ride.

RAMO (system – Venetia Williams handicappers, December, recent run)
Venetia Williams has an excellent record with her handicap runners (chase or hurdles) in the month of December, especially the ones who’d had the benefit of a recent outing (with the past three weeks). Backing them blind since the beginning of 2011 would have found 44 winners from our 189 bets, a strike rate of 23.3% for a profit of £66.02 to a £1 level stake at SP. RAMO should strip fitter after his recent stable debut at Bangor and can be expected to improve now switched to handicap company for the first time.

Trainer Darryll Holland has a great record when using jockey Jason Watson, scoring with 11 of the 29 qualifiers (37.9% strike-rate) for a profit of £28.80 to a £1 level stake at SP. GRACE ANGEL was an impressive scorer in the first-time blinkers on her latest outing and with the headgear retained, could well go in again.
