MALINA GIRL (system – Malinas, 2m4f+, good to soft or softer going)
Progeny of the sire Malinas are profitable to follow blindly on good to soft or softer going, provided they are running over a trip of 2m4f or further, with 88 of the 497 qualifiers scoring (17.7% strike-rate) for a profit of £60.29 to a £1 level stake at SP. MALINA GIRL will probably struggle to beat 1-7 favourite ALLEGORIE DE VASSY in this Grade 2 mares’ novice chase but second place is up for grabs and she looks the best each-way or ‘without the favourite’ option.

KITTEN’S DREAM (system – Kitten’s Joy, Newcastle AW, recent run)
Progeny of the sire Kitten’s Joy do well on Newcastle’s Tapeta surface when brought back to the track within six weeks of a previous outing. Ten of the 37 qualifiers won (27%) for a profit of £9.27 to a £1 level stake at SP (taking the best price the night before racing would have seen that boosted to £25.13). Eighteen individual horses qualified, with seven winning, and though KITTEN’S DREAM is 0-2 on this angle, she failed to settle when a creditable 16-1 fifth over course and distance last time and is worth another chance at a similar price.
