PINK LEGEND (system – Midnight Legend chasers, February to June)
Progeny of the sire Midnight Legend tend to do well in the latter stages of the jumps season and, since 2005, had we backed them all from February to June we’d have found 239 winners from 1324 bets (18.1%) for a profit of £247.82 to a £1 level stake at SP. At Exeter only, their record is 13 from 48 for a profit of £86.64 and PINK LEGEND, like a few from the Venetia Williams yard of late, might be able to bounce back from a modest last-time-out effort.

MISTER MALARKY (systems – 10yos in veterans’ handicap chases & Richard Bandey chasers)
MISTER MALARKY finished second in Class 2 handicap chases at Doncaster and Cheltenham on his first two starts for Richard Bandey and can be forgiven his pulled-up effort at Ascot last time as he was outclassed in a Premier Handicap Chase worth over £50,000 to the winner. Ten-year-olds outscore their older rivals in veterans’ handicap chase, with those who finished sixth or worse last time out landing 69 of their 464 starts (15% strike-rate) for a profit of £103.32 to a £1 level stake at SP. Bandey has a fine record with his chasers, scoring with 21 of the 100 qualifiers for a huge profit of £152.87 to a £1 level stake at SP, and Mister Malarkey can bounce back in this lower grade.
