FAKENHAM RACECARD No1s
Horses who go straight into handicap company under top weight on their debut over fences, rather than take in a novices’ or beginners’ chase, have a solid record and RELEASE THE KRAKEN looks very interesting on his first start for in-form Laura Morgan.
He’s obviously number 1 on the racecard and there are several other RACECARD No1s with good chances on the Fakenham card, including SABBATHICAL, the only course winner in the seven-runner handicap chase (1.22) and the Christian Williams-trained CAMULUS in the 1.52. Long-travellers from the Williams yard do extremely well, especially when in the front three in the betting.

FAIRYHOUSE 3.07
HARD RAIN is forecast to start as the 6-1 second favourite for this 16-runner 2m4f handicap hurdle but the seven-year-old was almost certainly flattered by last month’s Sligo runner-up effort where he raced wide on the better ground. Sell in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose HARD RAIN in Fairyhouse 3.07
