Andrew heads to Southwell (jumps) and Leicester for his two recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, June 4th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

SOUTHWELL 2.15

ROMANOR has a strong seasonal pattern to his form, doing best in high summer (June to August). The Seamus Mullins-trained ten-year-old has won eight of his 22 starts over obstacles in this three-month period and has finished second or third in nine of the 14 defeats. He didn’t shape badly when sixth of seven at Huntingdon last time, a run that would have been needed after 210 days off the track, and the likely very strong pace will suit this hold-up performer. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back ROMANOR in Southwell 2.15

LEICESTER 5.08

ENCHANTED NIGHT has a poor wins-to-runs ratio (one from 43) but the daughter of Night Of Thunder is very consistent when give 5f on good to soft or softer going, recording form figures of 8321232 (1-7). The six-year-old hasn’t had her preferred conditions since her runner-up effort at Nottingham last October and is worth chancing at a big price in this apprentice handicap. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back ENCHANTED NIGHT in Leicester 5.08
