Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to the jumps meeting at Southwell and the Flat action at Salisbury for his recommended bets/trades at on Tuesday, June 11th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
SOUTHWELL 3.15
The Donald McCain-trained GUILLAUME is forecast to start as 5-1 joint-favourite for this 2m handicap chase, but he has looked far from convincing since switched to fences, despite a soft-ground Catterick success in December. The big field (11 run) is a concern for the seven-year-old and his trainer has a poor record over obstacles at this venue, scoring with just three of his 106 runners since 2013 for a loss of £75.50 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 12.51, A/E = 0.24). Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose GUILLAUME in Southwell 3.15
SALISBURY 5.42
REGAL ENVOY heads the early betting at around the 7-2 mark for this 6f handicap on the back of his narrow Lingfield success on June 1st. However, he took advantage of the ‘golden highway’ that day, challenging against the favoured rail from the best of the draw in stall 9 of 9. It’s doubtful that he would have beaten the short-priced favourite Beau Jardine (fourth) had that one not raced on the slower ground down the middle of the track, and he looked flattered. William Knight’s five-year-old has been raised 2lb to a career-high mark of 77 and can be sold in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose REGAL ENVOY in Salisbury 5.42
