Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew was on fire yesterday with both selections winning (18-1 & 8-1) and has three recommended bets/trades on Thursday, May 18th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
YORK 3.00
Stall 19 makes life difficult for BRUNCH in a typically competitive Hambleton Handicap at York today but the Michael Dods-trained six-year-old still looks worth a punt. He reportedly stopped quickly when racing on deep ground at Newbury last time where he wasn’t helped by taking the nearside ‘swamp’ route and his record in handicaps on the Knavesmire reads 1st (7-1), 1st (15-2), 2nd of 14 (beaten by a neck, 7-2) and 2nd of 13 (beaten by a head at 11-2 in this race last year). Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or back him each-way.
Recommendation: Back BRUNCH in York 3.00
SALISBURY 3.45
GOLSPIE was backed late from 25-1 into 12-1 when landing a soft-ground 1m maiden at Newbury on last month’s debut, a win that was worthy of an upgrade as he raced close to the stands’ side rail – the slowest part of the track. Eve Johnson Houghton’s son of Ribchester looks set to appreciate the step up to 1m2f and is the value play in this novice contest. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back GOLSPIE in Salisbury 3.45
NEWMARKET 6.20
At the time of writing, Charlie Appleby’s SPRING DAWN was trading at odds-on for this 7f fillies’ maiden on the strength of her half-length second over course and distance at the Craven Meeting. However, that form doesn’t look especially strong – the third and fifth have been beaten since – and she may have been flattered by coming from off the pace in a headwind-affected contest. I’m going to take her on with stablemate ENGLISH ROSE, who wears a hood for her debut. He trainer has form figures of 11108116222421 (6-14) with hooded three-year-old newcomers, with the colts and fillies recording figures of 111012241 (5-9) for a profit of £13.30. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back ENGLISH ROSE in Newmarket 6.20
