Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to Thurles and Lingfield (AW) for his two recommended bets/trades on Thursday, February 8th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
THURLES 1.20
ZANAHIYR didn’t impress in the jumping department when a 17-length runner-up to Fact To File in a beginners’ chase at Leopardstown over Christmas and, while that form has been franked by the winner and a third, he could be worth opposing. Gordon Elliott’s seven-year-old tended to jump out to his left when racing over hurdles and the switch to a right-handed track could cause problems. He actually has a superior record when racing this way round (four from eight, as opposed to one from 13) but two of the four right-handed wins came in Class E races when outclassing his opposition and his tendency to jump out to his left could be exaggerated over fences. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose ZANAHIYR in Thurles 1.20
LINGFIELD 1.50
QUEEN OF FAZEEN was a rare Richard Hughes winning debutante on January 5th, scoring by a short head at Southwell when 6-1 for a 7f novice contest. She had a number of colts/geldings from top yards behind her that day and there was no fluke about the victory. Since the start of 2020, Hughes has a six from 11 record with winning all-weather newcomers who were bidding to follow up and backing them blind would have made a profit of £18.03 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who ran win novice company second time out were six from nine and the daughter of Ten Sovereigns will appreciate taking on her own sex for the first time today. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back QUEEN OF ZAFEEN in Lingfield 1.50
