Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads east for two recommended bets/trades at Newmarket and Chelmsford on Thursday (April 20th). Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
NEWMARKET 3.00
The headwind has made life tough for pacesetters at Newmarket this week and with another one forecast for today it could pay to side with hold-up performer COMMANCHE FALLS in the Abernant Stakes. Michael Dods has made his traditional slow start to the season, but he had a well-backed winner at Beverley yesterday and Commanche Falls ran a blinder on his only previous course outing, finishing sixth of 28 when 66-1 for a sales race and ‘winning’ the race on his side of the track. His patient style was at a big disadvantage at Doncaster when only seventh in the Cammidge Trophy on his return and he was very weak in the betting, suggesting the run was needed. Back each-way with Spread or buy at 8 in the 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Back COMMANCHE FALLS in Newmarket 3.00
CHELMSFORD 5.30
They went hard up front in the 7f Kempton novice won by Deceiver on March 29th with the winner and 100-1 runner-up coming from off the back. Sir Mark Todd’s 50-1 shot FILM STAR did well to hold fourth place in that race after racing just behind the front-runner. He rallied against the rail after looking set to drop back to midfield and his five-length fourth of 14 was worthy of a major upgrade. Back him in the Spreadex fixed odds betting (10-1 at the time of writing) or buy in the 50-25-10 spread market.
Recommendation: Back FILM STAR in Chelmsford 5.30
