MILLERS BANK unseated at the first fence in the Old Roan Chase at Aintree last Sunday and today’s race looks something of an afterthought. The softer ground and return to a right-handed track are not ideal and he pulled up when last racing in this direction.
Admittedly, that was in Grade 1 company at the Punchestown festival when trying a new trip, but he was described as ‘jumped left throughout’ when beaten at right-handed Kempton last term and he’s generally avoided tracks with stiff uphill finishes, except when lining up at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day where he looked beaten when unseating four out. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

GALWAY 2.55
SAINT BERNADETTE was beaten by nine lengths into third when 10-1 for a maiden hurdle at Sligo last time but that was a fine effort given that she raced close to the ‘dead’ inside rail throughout on a day it paid to race wide on the better ground. She’s got plenty to find with some of her rivals on RPRs (Racing Post Ratings) but heavy ground is a great leveller and she could out-run her odds. Back her each-way at 20-1 with Spreadex or buy in the 50-25-10 market.
