HAMILTON 4.15
The centre to far side is the play to be in 6f races at Hamilton, favouring low draws. Since the start of last year backing stalls 1, 2 and 3 blind over this course and distance would have found 23 winners from 102 bets for a huge profit of £245.74 to a £1 level stake at SP. Selling DOUBLE DRAW OF WINNER with Spreadex is one option, though I’m very sweet on the claims of Julie Camacho’s HOUGOUMONT, whose three juvenile runs over a stiff 6f produced a narrow 18-1 second at Carlisle before wins at Newcastle and Pontefract. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or back each-way in the fixed odds betting.

HAMILTON 5.15
HARSWELL DUKE beat only one home when just 6-1 for a hot 1m Class 2 handicap at Newmarket’s Craven Meeting but got no cover into the headwind and that effort is best ignored. Roger Fell’s five-year-old won well on heavy ground at Doncaster the time before and has performed with credit in both previous visits to Hamilton. He drops down to Class 3 level and, though drawn wide, shouldn’t have much difficulty in getting a good early position as the vast majority of his rivals like to come from off the pace. Confidence will increase if the ground eases further but, even if it stays dry, he’s worth supporting with Spreadex – buy in the 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
