RANGE chased home Gidleigh Park in a hot novices contest over 2m at Exeter in November on his seasonal/hurdles debut and won well on heavy ground over the 2m3.5f trip at Chepstow next time. The seven-year-old could only finish a 14-length fifth in a Grade 2 at Doncaster on his latest start but the step up to 3m and good ground didn’t suit. He’s down in trip/class and the deep ground will suit. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

UTTOXETER 2.25
HITITI is very consistent and his last-time-out half-length second on heavy ground at Exeter took his form figures since his debut for Robert Walford to 2211U43421114222 (5-16). He’s three from three in the month of March and looks a good each-way play or buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market. I’ve also bet likely favourite LORD SNOOTIE, who was only half a length behind Cuthbert Dibble (placed at the Cheltenham festival this week) on heavy ground at Haydock last time.

KEMPTON 3.55
JAVA POINT often goes well at this time of year and last month’s Sandown success took his chase record in February, March or April to 111361 (3-5) for a profit of £12.83 to a £1 level stake at SP. Henry Oliver’s nine-year-old remains open to improvement after just two runs for his current yard and he looks set to go close at least if the rain stays away (he was withdrawn from an intended outing at Doncaster earlier this month because of soft going). Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
