Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew starts the new week with two recommended bets/trades on bank holiday Monday, May 8th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
AYR 2.55
John Quinn has a cracking record at Ayr, scoring with 44 of his 235 runners (under both codes) since 2010 for a profit of £65.71 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 31). FIRST IMRPESSION has course figures of 11416 (3-5), improving to 1141 (3-4) on the Flat, with the defeat by two lengths in a 14-runner Class 2 handicap. He carries top weight in a Class 4 contest today and it will be disappointing if he doesn’t go close at least. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back FIRST IMPRESSION in Ayr 2.55
WORCESTER 4.20
ASTIGAR underwent wind surgery prior to his reappearance at Cheltenham’s November meeting where he finished 20 lengths behind the winner in 11th of 18 despite starting at a single-figure price. He also disappointed at Exeter on his next start, beating only one home, before a better effort at Wincanton where he was beaten by just over two lengths into third. The seven-year-old has had another wind operation since and that’s been a positive punting angle for David Pipe-trained hurdlers of late, with ten of the 38 scoring on their first post-wind op outing since the beginning of 2022 (+£29.03) to a £1 level stake at SP. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back ASTIGAR in Worcester 4.20
