The last-named has form figures of 111 (3-3) when returned to the track within six weeks of his previous start and got the better of Blue Prince by a head and a nose when the pair finished one-three of course and distance last montht. However, Roger Varian’s colt benefitted from sitting close to the steady early gallop that day is drawn wide in stall 11 this time around. I’d rather side with the David Evans runner, who will appreciate the big field/strong pace scenario and has the assistance of Oisin Murphy. DUNDALK 8.15
With Hightimeyouwon living up to his name and proving very hard to win with – he’s finished second or third in six of his last seven runs (sixth in the other) – the bet in this 1m handicap has to be EXQUISITE ACCLAIM. The Ado McGuinness-trained five-year-old beat Hightimeyouwon into second place over course and distance last time, scoring with more in hand than the official winning margin if a neck suggested. He’s 0-16 on turf but has proved ultra consistent on Dundalk’s Polytrack, recording form figures of 433132631 (2-9) in the past year.
