AYR 1.15
NIGHTEYES (system – sire Night Of Thunder 2yos on turf)
Prior to yesterday’s racing , juvenile progeny of the sire Night Of Thunder were 56 from 294 (19.1% strike-rate) on turf for a profit of £47.90 to a £1 level stake at SP. NIGHTEYES, too green to do herself justice when seventh at Doncaster on her debut earlier this month, will know more this time and can be chanced at what should be an each-way price.
REDCAR 1.37
FARAH M (system – David & Nicola Barron, gelded since last run)
Since 2007, horses from the yard of David (and now Nicola Barron) are 21 from 120 on their first run since gelded and backing them all would have retuned a profit of £14.30. If we ignore those who ran in Class 6 company the score is 20 from 96 (20.8%) for a profit of £35.55. FARAH M took a step forward when a front-running fourth at Pontefract last time and can get off the mark in this Class 5 novice stakes.
NEWMARKET 3.52
HAT TOSS (system – New Bay, handicaps, top three finish last time out)
Prior to yesterday’s racing, progeny of the sire New Bay were 72 from 226 (32% strike-rate) when lining up in handicap company on the back of a top-three finish for a huge profit of £126.07 to a £1 level stake at SP. HAT TOSS contributed when an 8-1 Sandown winner last week and can follow up.
HAYDOCK 7.10
NELLIE LEYLAX (system – Tom Dascombe, restricted novice stakes)
Tom Dascombe has a fantastic record with his runners in restricted novice contests, with those who had the benefit of at least one previous outing recording form figures of 1111113776253651 (7-16), with the latest winner, Invincible Friend (7-1) tipped in this column seven days ago. Backing all 16 qualifiers would have returned a profit of £36.66 and NELLIE LEYLAX can keep the ball rolling here.
