The chasers were eight from from 21 (38.1%, +£26.36) and MR KATANGA, whose sole previous win came in first-time cheekpieces, might be able to double his career tally in the new headgear.

GLITTERING LIGHT (system – James Doyle, Wolverhampton)
GLITTERING LIGHT has had a few chances but might be able to get off the mark in this fillies’ novice contest now that James Doyle is back on board. Since the beginning of 2018, Doyle has a 49 from 167 record at Wolverhampton (29.3% strike-rate) for a small profit of £2.72. In non-handicaps only, his strike-rate improves to 45.6% (31winners from 68 mounts) for a profit of £40.77.

INTO THE SPOTLIGHT (system – James Tate/Rossa Ryan combination, all-weather)
Rossa Ryan has a 12 from 30 record when riding on the all-weather for James Tate and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £53.97 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 6.44, A/E = 1.86). INTO THE SPOTLIGHT has failed to settle in two runs at Lingfield since her solid 14-1 second over the 9.4f trip here in October and the return to this venue and booking of Ryan of the first time can see her get off the mark.
