Andrew, who had an 85-40 winner & 18-1 second on Thursday, has five stats-based selections on Friday, February 24th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
LINGFIELD 3.25
VALORANT (System – Mick Appleby Stable Switchers)
Mick Appleby does well at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, scoring with 94 of the 524 qualifiers (17.9%) for a profit of ÂŁ321.90 to a ÂŁ1 level stake at SP. Dreams Delivered was a winner for this column yesterday (Thursday) and VALORANT can keep the ball rolling on his first start for new connections.
WARWICK 4.40
COTONEASTER (System – Damsire Midnight Legend, Jumps, February – April)
Progeny of Midnight Legend tend to do best at this time of year, as do those with Midnight Legend as a damsire, winning 40 of their 219 starts (18.3%) over jumps from February to April for a profit of ÂŁ56.91 to a ÂŁ1 level stake at SP. Charlie’s Glance was a winning qualifier in the first at Huntingdon (Thursday) and COTONEASTER may surprise on her debut for Noel Williams in the bumper.
DUNDALK 5.00
BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE (system – sire Ardad, fresh)
Progeny of the sire Ardad show a profit when fresh – the racecourse debutants are 11 from 95 for a profit of £128.33 to a £1 level stake at SP (thanks to Arboy Will’s 150-1 win) and those with experience who had been rested for eight weeks or more since their latest outing are 13 from 104 for a profit of £19.88. BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE might be able to out-run her odds and reward each-way support on her all-weather debut.
WARWICK 5.15
TELEPATHIQUE (System – Lucy Wadham, second run in a bumper)
Lucy Wadham does very well with her bumper runners, especially at the second time of asking. Since the beginning of 2001, 11 of her 66 qualifiers won on their second start in national hunt flat race company, returning a ÂŁ44.00 profit to a ÂŁ1 level stake at SP. TELEPATHIQUE stayed on well to finish fourth on her debut at Wetherby and should improve with that initial experience.
DUNDALK 6.30
SALITEH (system – sire Ardad, fresh)
SALITEH qualifies as a bet for me on the same system as stablemate Beautiful Sunshine (see Dundalk 5.00). She’s only scored once from 15 starts but that came after a break and she’s been off for 147 days since her latest outing.
