Rachael Blackmore Cheltenham Rides Day 3: Three Runners On Thursday
Rachael Blackmore was crowned the Champion Jockey of the Year back in 2021 for her mesmerising performance at the Cheltenham Festival. She won a staggering six races, including a second and third place finish too. This year, she will be hoping to replicate that form with a stellar showing at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.
On Day 3, Rachael Blackmore has three rides on Thursday 16th March. These rides include Envoi Allen in the Ryanair Chase, looking to claim his third win at the Cheltenham Festival as a racehorse.
Blackmore, who also won the 2022 Gold Cup with A Plus Tard, also has two other rides at huge prices on Day 3 of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.
She’s also got Marvel De Cerisy for trainer Henry De Bromhead in the Magners Plate Handicap Hurdle (4:10pm) and Foxy Girl in the Mares’ Novices Hurdle (4.50pm). These are the Rachael Blackmore Cheltenham rides on Day 3.
Blackmore is priced at 10/1 with leading bookmaker Paddy Power to be the 2023 Cheltenham Festival Champion Jockey.

What Horses Is Rachael Blackmore Riding On Day 3 Of The 2023 Cheltenham Festival?
Thursday 16th March 2023
ENVOI ALLEN (Ryanair Chase – 14.50): @ 12/1 with Paddy Power
In terms of Cheltenham odds, this is Rachael Blackmore’s biggest chance of a winner on Day 3 of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival. Envoi Allen contests the Ryanair Chase, looking for his third win at Cheltenham but first since 2020.
His form is indifferent, with a poor run in the King George in December where he came seventh. This is a big ask for Blackmore and Envoi Allen but do not rule the pair out of finding a huge run here in the Ryanair Chase.
MARVEL DE CERISY (Magners Plate Handicap Chase – 16.10): @ 25/1 with Paddy Power
Blackmore’s next ride on Day 3 of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival comes in the Magners Plate Handicap Chase where she saddles Marvel De Cerisy for trainer Henry De Bromhead.
This 6-year-old has won once over fences at Punchestown in November, so if he can replicate that form he has an each-way chance here for sure. Another big ask for Blackmore to get a win here, but not beyond the realms of possibility.
FOXY GIRL (Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – 16.50): @ 16/1 with Paddy Power
The Irish jockey’s third and final ride on Day 3 of the Cheltenham Festival comes in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle where she rides 16/1 shot Foxy Girl. This 5-year-old mare boasts strong form with a win and runner-up finish under De Bromhead.
That win came on Boxing Day last year impressive at Limerick over two-miles on heavy ground. She won by four lengths on that day and could be a great outside bet here with superstar jockey Rachael Blackmore in the saddle.
