Pep Guardiola has made his final Premier League predictions for the season, with the Manchester City boss saying that his side can’t afford to drop any more points this year if they want to be crowned Champions.

Arsenal are currently two points clear at the top of the league and that gap could extend to five if the Gunners beat Everton this Thursday.

With City chasing down Mikel Arteta and his men, Pep Guardiola has recognised that his side can’t afford to drop any more points going into the last 13 games of the season if they want to regain Premier League glory.

“I have the feeling in the Premier League many things are going to happen. Everyone is going to drop points but we cannot drop any if we are going to fight until the end.”

City have struggled with a mixed bag of results recently, as Guardiola’s side dropped points against Spurs and Nottingham Forest before drawing with Leipzig in the Champions League last week. They did get back to winning ways in the Premier League last weekend however, cruising past Bournemouth 4-1 on Saturday with a confident performance.

“The game we are playing is good. The results could be better – in terms of winning at Spurs or Nottingham – but sometimes that happens.

“Of course it’s not exceptional – it’s OK, it’s good – but I don’t have complaints with the way we are playing and fighting.

“I said after the last game against Bournemouth that the mood in the locker room is exceptional and the guys are doing everything, and that’s enough for me.”

Before City can focus their attention back on the league they face Bristol City in a FA Cup fifth round clash on Tuesday, with Guardiola likely to make multiple changes to rest players before their league game with Newcastle next weekend.
