Paul Pogba has been suspended by Juventus, after the former Manchester United star tested positive for a drugs test which found elevated levels of testosterone in his system.
Paul Pogba Suspended
Paul Pogba is no stranger to being in the headlines for the wrong reasons, and the French midfielder is at it again after being caught with elevated levels of testosterone in his system.
The former Manchester United flop has struggled during his time in Italy and his career at Juve reached an all-time low this week, after being drug tested following Juventus’ 3-0 win over Udinese at the end of last month.
Following the positive test, Pogba’s agent Rafaela Pimenta, said she was: “awaiting the second sample and cannot have an opinion before the results.”
Despite testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone in his system, Pimenta added that Pogba ‘never wanted to break a rule’ insisting that it was a mistake.

Pogba is yet to start for Juventus this season, but he has featured off the bench for the Italian giants for a total of 51 minutes so far this year.
It is yet to be revealed what will happen to Pogba following the positive test results, but Juventus released a statement on the situation saying: “Juventus Football Club announces that today, 11 September, 2023, the footballer Paul Labile Pogba received a precautionary suspension order from the National Anti-Doping Tribunal following the results of tests carried out on 20 August, 2023.
“The club reserves the right to consider the next procedural steps.”
Injuries have hindered Pogba’s progress at Juventus over the last year, with the 30-year-old playing just over 100 minutes in Serie A last season over a six game period.
