Off the back of a thumping 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the Emirates last weekend, Arsenal are back in Premier League action as they take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday evening.
The Gunners were afforded a break over the weekend while the majority of top flight sides were in FA Cup fourth round action, following their premature exit from the competition in the third round at the start of the month.
That defeat came against Liverpool in what was their fourth successive match without victory, and their third straight loss, but they’ve bounced back in emphatic fashion with that dominant win over the Eagles.
Mikel Arteta’s side now occupy third in the table, level on points with second place Manchester City, and five behind the league leaders. Forest on the other hand, find themselves down in 16th – just four points clear of Luton in the relegation zone.
The Reds were held to a goalless draw by Championship outfit Bristol City in their cup clash at the weekend, which followed on from a 3-2 defeat to Brentford in the league. Prior to that, Santo had masterminded his side to a four game unbeaten run which included wins over both Manchester United and Newcastle.
We at SportsLens can’t see them registering a similar result against the high-flying Gunners though, and are backing Bukayo Saka and co. to reign victorious in a similar dominant fashion to last week’s victory in the capital.
