North Macedonia vs England is the final Euro 2024 qualifier for both nations in group C on Monday night as Gareth Southgate’s side will be looking to finish their campaign with another impressive win against the Balkan nation.
The Three Lions hit North Macedonia for seven back in June at Old Trafford but how far apart are the two current squads in terms of value? With that in mind, SportLens takes a closer look at the North Macedonia vs England squad values comparison ahead of Monday’s Euro Qualifier.
North Macedonia Vs England Squad Values Comparison: Position Breakdown
Goalkeepers
England‘s three goalkeepers in the current squad are Everton’s Jordan Pickford, Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale and Sam Johnstone of Crystal Palace. According to Transfermarkt, Ramsdale is the most valuable at £27.9m, Pickford comes in at £19.2m and Johnstone £8.7m.
North Macedonia’s three goalkeepers are Stole Dimitrievski, Damjan Siskovski and Igor Aleksovski. Rayo Vallecano’s Dimitrievski played in the reverse fixture, and he is the most valuable keeper at £3.4m. Both Siskovski and Aleksovski are priced at £300k.
Defenders
England will have the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harry Maguire, Marc Guehi, Fikayo Tomori and Kieran Trippier to call upon and it’ll come as no surprise to see Alexander-Arnold coming in as the most valuable. The Liverpool star is priced at £56.8m with Milan’s Tomori the second most valuable, priced at £34.9m, again on Transfermarkt.
North Macedonia’s defenders in comparison are valued at a lot less than any of the Three Lions stars. Ezgjan Alioski is worth £3.4m with the second most valuable player, Jovan Manev, coming in at just £480k.
Midfielders
Jude Bellingham would have been the most valuable England midfielder, but his absence from the squad means the honour falls to Arsenal star Declan Rice, priced at a cool £87.4m. Next up on the list is Chelsea‘s Conor Gallagher (£34.9m) and just below him, club teammate Cole Palmer (£27.9m)
Again, North Macedonia’s midfielders don’t compare to England’s stars but Napoli’s Eljif Elmas is valued at £22.7m, the most valuable player in the squad. Captain Enis Bardhi is next at £5.2m with Arijan Ademi priced at £2.1m.
Attackers/Strikers
Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden are the most valuable attackers in England’s current squad, valued at £104.9m and £96.2m. Skipper Harry Kane is also priced at £96.2m with Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish both valued at £65.5m.
North Macedonia’s attacking options are nowhere near as valuable as their opponents, with Burnley’s Darko Churlinov being priced at £1.8m. Next up is Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski who is valued at just over £1m. None of the other current attackers and strikers in the squad are worth over seven digits.
