Horse racing fans around the world will be curious to know the Nicky Henderson net worth as the Seven Barrows trainer prepares for another big season of National Hunt action.
Nicky Henderson Net Worth: Seven Barrows Handler Expected To Be Worth Over £8million
Six-time Champion Jumps Trainer has been involved with horse racing since a very young age after his family’s heavy involvement with the sport over the years.
Henderson has been a trainer himself since 1978 after serving as assistant trainer to Fred Winter between 1974 and 1978, and he was previously an amateur jockey before that.
The 72-year-old is one of the most well known horse racing trainers in the world, and he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2020 New Year Honours for his services to the sport.
Henderson has trained 73 Cheltenham Festival winners in his time as a trainer, including the Cheltenham Gold Cup twice and nine Champion Hurdles, most recently taking home the prize for that race in 2023 with Constitution Hill, his stable star.
- Notable Cheltenham Festival Wins: Sprinter Sacre (Champion Chase 2013 & 2014), Altior (Champion Chase 2018 & 2019), Long Run (Gold Cup 2011), Bobs Worth (Gold Cup 2013), Buveur d’Air (Champion Hurdle 2017 & 2018), Constitution Hill (Champion Hurdle 2023)

Nicky Henderson Trained His First Winner In 1978
Despite only taking out his training licence in 1978, Henderson did not have to wait long for his first victory as a handler and in the same year Dukery gave him his first winner in a Novice Hurdle at Uttoxeter, and the rest is history.
Just a few months later Henderson also almost had his first Grand National winner when Zongalero finished runner-up to Rubstic. The iconic Aintree race remains the big prize that he is still yet to win.
He went on to reach 3,000 career wins in July 2018, and has won a further 500+ since then which is an incredible achievement.
Still Plenty More To Come From Nicky Henderson Horses
It’s fair to say that Henderson has had some legendary horses in his stables over the years, including the likes of Sprinter Sacre, Altior, and Bobs Worth.
Unsurprisingly, the last few seasons has seen Henderson bring through a new crop of superstars. Constitution Hill is one of the most talked about racehorses in Britain right now, and is unbeaten in his six career starts, five of which coming at Grade 1 level.
He won the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle in 2022 at Cheltenham and most recently took home the Champion Hurdle at the festival, which he will be looking to retain in 2024. He is the current 2/5 favourite with the best UK betting sites to do so.
Another stable star of Henderson’s is Shishkin, who is one of his more prominent older horses alongside Champ, Epatante and Chantry House.
Shishkin looks to be targeted towards next year’s Cheltenham Gold Cup if he puts in a good showing at Boxing Day’s Kempton Park spectacle – the King George.
