Respected football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that N’Golo Kante is drawing interest from Saudi Arabia as his contract talks with Chelsea have hit a stumbling block.
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is reportedly drawing interest from Saudi Arabia as his future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain.
Kante’s contract expires in the summer, and whilst reports of a contract extension have been rife – his future at the club has still not been clarified.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that talks for an extension were at an advanced stage, but now the situation is unclear once again.
He revealed the news on his Twitter account.
“N’Golo Kanté’s contract extension, not done yet — talks were very advanced in the last months but now the situation is unclear again. More contacts will take place.” he tweeted.
“Parties will talk in order to decide — there are more clubs keen on Kanté on a free, including Saudi.”

If Kante’s contract situation isn’t rectified, he could become the latest big name to make the switch to the Saudi Pro League.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi side Al-Nassr in January after departing Manchester United ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
Kante has had minimal involvement for the Blues this term, after a season blighted with injuries.
He has made just nine appearances for the club this season, but has impressed in that short space of time.
The midfielder has made his intentions of remaining at the club clear, but with contract talks stalled – his exit may be looming.
“It’s an exciting project. I want to stay here, of course”. 🔵 #CFC
