Jurgen Klopp has moved to 14/1 to be the next Premier League manager sacked this season after a dismal Liverpool performance against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Things started well for Liverpool in their Champions League tie with Madrid on Tuesday, as Darwin Nunez and Mohammed Salah both scored early on to give the home side a deserved lead in the opening stages of the game.

Real Madrid came back stronger however and a brace in the first half courtesy of Vinicius Junior meant that the scores were level as the sides headed down the tunnel for half time.

The visitors came flying out of the blocks after the break, as Eder Militao powered home a set piece just minutes after the break to give Real Madrid the lead for the first time in the game.

A couple more goals from Karim Benzema rounded off the second half and a world class performance from Madrid, who take a comfortable 5-2 advantage with them back to the Bernabeu for the second leg.

Jurgen Klopp was left dejected after the heavy loss and is now one of the favourites to be the next Premier League manager sacked this season after Liverpool’s capitulation in Europe this week.

The Premier League hasn’t been going much better for Liverpool this season however, as they currently sit in an uncharacteristic eighth place chasing European qualification for next season.

Klopp and Liverpool have won their last two in the league and they will be hoping to carry that momentum with them at the end of February and the beginning of March. The Reds will be keen to keep the wins coming as they face Manchester United in a grudge match on Sunday the 5th of March.
