Graham Potter has moved to 5/4 second favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked, after a poor Chelsea performance saw the Blues lose 1-0 to Southampton on Saturday.

Potter hasn’t been in charge of Chelsea for long however his time in London may already be up, as the manager has struggled to get results with a new-look Chelsea side that are still tenth in the league and winless in four.

The latest team to take points from Chelsea were Southampton, who are currently rock bottom of the Premier League and three points adrift from safety. A James Ward-Prowse free kick was curled into the bottom left corner in added time of the first half and the pinpoint set piece was the only goal of the game.

There was worrying signs for Cesar Azpilicueta late on, as the Chelsea right back was stretchered off the pitch with a worrying head injury that left the Spaniard requiring oxygen as he exited the field, however the Blues player was conscious as he was carried down the tunnel.

Another loss for Chelsea this week means they are now winless in their last four league games, but where has it all gone wrong for Potter’s side?

Chelsea spent in excess of €350 million on players this January, however the addition of the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Enzo Fernandez really don’t seem to have made much of a difference to the disappointing side so far.

The poor form from Chelsea means that Graham Potter is now just second favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked this season, with David Moyes odds on with most markets to be the next sacked.
