Next Liverpool Manager Odds: Could Thomas Tuchel Make A Return To England?

Liverpool were thrashed by Real Madrid in the Champions League last night, and Jurgen Klopp’s price to be sacked slashed to 14/1.

The Reds are almost guaranteed to have a trophy-less season as they look to overcome a 5-2 deficit in their second leg against Madrid in a few weeks time. So, we’re taking a look at the next Liverpool manager odds if Klopp was to be axed.

Liverpool have mounted fairytale comebacks in the past, but Madrid’s fire power may be too much to handle for Klopp’s side. They’re 22/1 to qualify for the next round following defeat at Anfield, with the bookies not having too much faith in them.

There’s a whole host of ex-Reds that could take over from Klopp if he was sacked, and there’s also a good few top quality managers who are without a club.

Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane could well be on the cards to take over if there was a job going.

There have reportedly been talks held over Klopp’s future, with Liverpool’s season going from bad to worse with a UCL exit looking highly likely.

Klopp gave mixed signals after the game, and it wasn’t easy to tell exactly how he was feeling ahead of the second leg.

“I think Carlo thinks the tie is over, and I think it is as well at the moment, but in three weeks…

“We will go there and play a football game,

“It will be a massive challenge. We have to make sure we learn from this game.”
