Next Newcastle Manager Odds: Jose Mourinho FavouriteTo Replace Eddie Howe

The Magpies currently sit out of the Champions League places and are no longer in Europe’s elite competition – casting doubt over Eddie Howe’s role as manager.

Jose Mourinho was relieved of his duties as Roma manager on Tuesday morning, as the Italian suffered a run of disappointing results.

The 60-year-old has been tipped to return to the Premier League and take control of his fourth English club, after spells with Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Portuguese manager had his most successful spell with Chelsea, where Mourinho won three Premier Leagues, three League Cups and the FA Cup.

His time in Manchester may have ended on a sour note, but the 60-year-old did secure a Europa League and League Cup double in 2017.

Another favoured option is Italian manager, Antonio Conte, who has been priced at 7/1 and would make a long-awaited return to management.

The former Spurs manager was sacked by the north London side after a major fall out in the Capital, but his time at Chelsea highlighted the quality Conte possesses.

Graham Potter could be an outside option, with bookmakers pricing his return to Premier League management at 8/1.
