PSV starlet Xavi Simons could be on the move this summer and he has responded to rumours of a move to the Premier League while on international duty with the Netherlands.

Simons is currently with the Netherlands ahead of their Nations League semi-final against Croatia next week, after earning a call-up following a standout season for PSV.

The 20-year old has gained plenty of attention this year with 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 games and is said to be on the radar of Mikel Arteta and Arsenal this summer.

Addressing any rumours while with the Netherlands, Simons simply said: “I don’t know yet.

“I’m now with the Dutch national team, I’m going to work here for two weeks and then we’ll see what happens. Soon we will decide together with family what is best for me.”

Simons has already come up against Arteta and Arsenal in his short career, as PSV played the Gunners in last season’s Europa League group stage.

The midfielder impressed in both group stage performances which clearly stuck with Arteta, who is looking to expand his squad as the Gunners prepare for Champions League football next season.

Simons would fit in perfectly at Arsenal, with the versatile midfielder having the potential to go on and be one of the best talents in the world one day if he picks the right next move.

PSV value their young star as one of the best players in their side and would likely demand a club record fee (£38.5m) in exchange for Simons this summer.
