Michael Owen was full of praise for Bukayo Saka on Wednesday night after Arsenal smashed Everton 4-0 at home, with the Englishman scoring and assisting yet again for the Gunners.
Bukayo Saka has been in the form of his life this season and so it’s no surprise that the Arsenal winger is already being discussed in the PFA player of the year awards after his latest scintillating performance against Everton.
The 21-year old was on hand to smash home Arsenal’s first after 40 minutes, before the tricky forward pounced on an Idrissa Gueye mistake at the back to send Gabriel Martinelli through to double the Gunners’ advantage just before half time.
One former pro who was singing the praises of Saka after the Everton match was Michael Owen, who said nobody could get near the Arsenal man throughout the match.
“It was a real bit of quality that broke the deadlock. It was everything we associate with Arsenal really,” Owen said on Premier League Productions.

‘They were proving and trying and then, eventually, a little gap opened and they exploited it. It was a brilliant finish from Saka, absolutely brilliant.
‘The problem defenders have with him is he can go one or two ways, can’t he? If you watch the shape of his body. He gets himself between his body and the danger man, it’s really good forward play to protect the ball like that.
“At the last minute, he decides to take it on his right, then nobody could get near him. What a finish it was.”
Last night Bukayo Saka became the 6th youngest player to reach 50 goal involvements in the Premier League 🌟

Arsenal moved five points clear of Manchester City with their 4-0 win against Everton and are now in a prime position to go on and win their first Premier League title in over 20 years.
Saka now has ten goals and nine assists this season and is 10/1 to win the PFA Premier League player of the year award, trailing behind Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, Marcus Rashford and Erling Haaland who is just 4/7 to win the award.
