Former UFC heavyweight champion Michael Bisping has tipped Brock Lesnar to make a sensational comeback for UFC 300 in April.

Lesnar has been absent from the world of mixed martial arts (MMA) since his controversial fight against Mark Hunt in July 2016.

Despite originally winning the clash at UFC 200, the result was overturned after Lesnar tested positive for clomiphene, which is a banned substance.

‘The Beast Incarnate’ then redirected his focus to the world of professional wrestling, where he remains a prominent figure in the WWE.

However, fellow former UFC heavyweight champion Michael Bisping believes the 46-year-old could be included on the UFC 300 card and floated the idea of a potential matchup against Tom Aspinall.

Following his win over Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295, Aspinall is the current interim heavyweight titleholder and is actively seeking an opponent in light of Jon Jones’ injury.

Sharing his thoughts on his YouTube channel, Bisping stated, “UFC 300, will we see Brock Lesnar on there again? It sounds stupid because Brock Lesnar is no spring chicken.

“He’s 46 years old, but remember, Randy Couture fought on to the ripe old age of about 47. Fighters have gone on longer.

“Guess what? When there’s millions of dollars on the line, people will come and fight. And people would love to see Brock Lesnar stepping in there once again.”

Acknowledging Lesnar’s continued drawing power, Bisping emphasised the potential ease in navigating contractual matters, given the shared ownership of the UFC and WWE under the same parent company.

Proposing a potential headline bout, Bisping exclaimed, “Call me crazy. Call me Tom Aspinall’s number one fanboy, but could you imagine Brock Lesnar vs. Tom Aspinall headlining UFC 300?

“Maybe it’s just wishful thinking. But Tom Aspinall-Brock Lesnar, that would just be mental. That is the type of thing I think the UFC are going to do.”
